A Jackal And His Lawyer - Book 3

"Being paid to go after bad guys is the only thing I'm good at. And there are many of them out there who do not deserve to live a minute longer. Still too many black wolves on the mountain."

So speaks Phyto Plissken, warthog bounty hunter. He and Luke the cat are on the trail of the nefarious Order of the Black Frog. Recently the Order came very close to destroying the world... could they still pose a threat?

The third installment of Oliver Francisco's fantasy epic ties up all of the loose ends from the previous books. As the story has progressed, so it has also matured. We are still in the setting of a children's storybook with comical, talking animals, but the territory now is much darker. The violence is now on a more personal level with coldblooded revenge in the heart of at least one of our heroes. We have crossed the line into something more suitable for older readers.

As before, the characters are a varied, colourful bunch and find themselves in a never-ending series of perilous predicaments, which they work through with their undying determination. This time around, however, the trials are significantly more visceral.... the protagonists of Mother Goose and Aesop's Fables always had tricky situations they had to contend with, but a plagued of flesh-eating zombies? That is a step beyond that paradigm!

Phyto and Luke have a real uphill battle before them, and Francisco's imagination leads them into adventures without limits. Do they have what it takes to beat the bad guys one more time? And will that be the final chapter, or will there forever be more monsters to be slain?
